Write for us
We welcome pitches and completed contributions about cricket’s material and visual culture. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to understand the subject, angle and intended reader.
Subjects we welcome
Strong proposals might examine the design of a cricket object, the visual character of a ground, a garment or printed artefact, or the way a cricket image is made and read. We favour focused subjects with a clear connection to the publication rather than broad surveys of cricket or general design advice.
What makes a useful pitch
Include a working title, a short account of the central idea, the details or examples you plan to discuss and why the topic matters to a curious general reader. Tell us whether the piece is a proposal or already written, and disclose any relevant commercial interest. We cannot promise to accept or publish every submission.
Clear, careful writing
Contributions should be original, readable and specific. Explain specialist terms when they first appear, separate verifiable information from interpretation and avoid unsupported claims. Do not submit confidential material or imply access to testing, interviews or research that did not take place.
How to send a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial reason for writing. A concise pitch is enough to begin; please do not send private documents or sensitive information. If a proposal is a fit, any next steps can be discussed through the contact exchange.
