Editorial policy
Select Cricket Journal aims to publish clear, careful writing about cricket’s material and visual culture. We value accuracy, independence and a visible distinction between editorial work and paid collaboration.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against dependable material appropriate to the subject and take care not to treat a single example as proof of a general rule. Where an article offers interpretation, comparison or opinion, its wording should make that clear. We do not claim first-hand testing or research unless the article genuinely describes it.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to readers and the publication’s subject. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, a favourable view or a particular conclusion. We do not accept payment in return for undisclosed editorial praise.
Corrections
Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error, explain what appears wrong and identify the relevant article. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted; significant changes should be made clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or otherwise agreed partner material is identified as such, and partner links are labelled clearly. These arrangements do not change the status of independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, captions or accompanying text identify them so readers can distinguish illustration from documentary imagery.
